Jim Sessoms

After earning his undergraduate degree from LSU and his MBA from the University of Georgia, Jim sought to increase his expertise by earning his CPA and CIA certificates. After developing a solid business background while working as a consultant at Andersen Consulting and Ernst & Young, he went on to start a successful technology consulting firm in the Atlanta area. After selling his consulting firm, his entrepreneurial spirit allowed him to pursue something he knew he would love – building homes.

Jim founded Sessoms Homes in the mid-90’s with the intent of offering something different to homebuyers. Jim started with whole-house renovations and quickly moved into new home construction. He established a flawless reputation among his fellow homebuilders, local real estate agents, developers, as well as his new homeowners. Sessoms Homes prides itself on its unique offerings, specialty programs, and high level of customization.  

Sessoms Homes is very proud to announce its membership in Atlanta's Certified Professional Home Builders Program. This group is composed of ~1% of all builders in the Atlanta area. Acceptance into the program is based on years of experience, customer references, trade references, financial references, insurance references, continuing education, permit numbers, etc.  We are honored to be part of this program!

Additionally, Jim is a member of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (GAHBA), the Georgia Home Builders' Association (GBHA), and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Sessoms Homes constructs approximately 6-8 homes per year, averaging 4,000 to 10,000 square feet priced from the $700,000's to the $1,500,000's.

Jim works closely with his construction team, award-winning architect, landscaping architect, interior designer, and excellent subcontractors. Additionally, he is especially proud of his permanent, full-time staff which is comprised of hardworking and reliable individuals that help ensure day-to-day activities are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
